The completion of Nayaranghat-Muglin road expansion is likely to take one more year, according to the Project Chief Chandra Narayan Yadav.
Project Chief Yadav shared, “Only 38 per cent of the work has been completed although the expansion of the road section was expected to be completed by coming April.”
The expansion of 33 kilometres road section is divided into three segments.
The deadline for the project has been extended twice given the April 2015 earthquake and India-imposed border blockade.
As per the contract signed on April 19, 2015 with three different contractors for each segment, the expansion of Narayangadh-Muglin road section was supposed to be completed by 24 months but with the sluggish pace of construction, it appears that it would take 12 months more for completion, added Project Chief Yadav.
